Craft Month Giveaway:Last One–a Fantasy Flower Pin

It’s time for the last giveaway in honor of craft month and this one was so easy to choose. With my Mom’s birthday around the corner, and Mother’s Day not too far away, I decided on the materials for making a beautiful pin. I call this a “Fantasy Flower Pin” because you can get creative with favorite colors and accent with a bead or button. The instructions are in my Locking Loops book and it’s also included in this giveaway. These are great accents on hats, hair ornaments, belts, or as a pretty pin. They can be hooked on linen burlap, 6-mesh or 5-mesh canvas. I like to lightly paint the burlap with Lumiere paint for a subtle shimmer of color. The winner will receive, linen burlap, Lumiere paint, yarn, a bundle of Color Crazy Sari Ribbon, and a vintage button for an accent. All you need to do is comment/post what you would like to locker hook, or how you discovered locker hooking on this blog and like the Color Crazy Facebook Page for more info. But first, I need to announce the winner of last week’s competition…Congratulations Katy Kat!! You’re receiving the kit of materials for the Floppy-Eared Bunny Basket.

  1. I’ve been having a blast with locker hooking, making pendants and bracelets. Love, love, love the colors and textures. I’ve placed my second order and can’t wait to get the kit I won!!! thanks again, kathy

  2. Loving these smaller projects. So glad I found your first book at Hobby Lobby. Was just browsing and looking for a pattern to hook a rug. Bought your book and decided locker hooking was for me. I now have your last book and loving it too. I have hooked many of your patterns and even designed a stocking for my new son-in-law. Thank you for this neat craft that I am hooked on!!

  3. I have placed an order for an instructional book, and can hardly wait to get it. I have bags and bags of scraps and ribbons to use and all kinds of ideas. I love the ideas you have in your books and hope to recreate several of them. The bunny basket was just darling. I would love to make one and fill it with goodies to send to my granddaughter and secret sister. Keep up the good work and the ideas. Can’t wait to see whats next! Lainey Lou

  4. Wow, these are amazing!!!! I would love to win this kit, and whip a few of these up with the bangle set I plan to buy after my move.

  5. Hi Theresa – I have both your books (I just got Locking Loops yesterday – it’s great!) and really enjoy locker hooking. I’m currently making a little wall-hanging for a friend (something like your little house) using batik fabric and yarn. It’s definitely addictive! Your work is really inspirational and I absolutely love all the color you use. I found the blog, searching for you, after I read your first book. Thank you so much for making this craft more well-known. I’m really having a great time with it! 🙂

  6. Would LOVE to win! Found out about locker hooking at a local quilt/sewing shop. Came home, did some research, and found your first book. Have been “hooked” ever since! 🙂
