I just got back from the International Fall Quilt Market and Festival in Houston, Texas. Wow! What a dose of color, texture and beautiful designs. I hardly know where to begin. I was there to promote my new Locking Loops book. I was so inspired by the beautiful fabrics, quilt designs, notions and unique finds. Some of the quilts are true masterworks of art. You’ll find everything at the International Quilt Market from traditional to ultra modern in cotton, wool, silks, hand-dyed batiks, and plush colorful designs from companies like Shannon fabrics. I saw some old friends including the folks at Bali Fabrics booth where some of Virginia Robertson’s beautiful creations were on display. At my book signing, a lady brought a beautiful locker hooked design to show me (wish I had written down the lady’s name or asked for her card!) I also picked up an autographed copy of Cindy Walter’s new book Fabric Painting. And, I fell in love with David Taylor’s beautiful quilt “Marmalade’s First Snow.” Below are some of my finds.

You can turn these beautiful plush fabrics into great quilts, throws and pillows like these cute owls.
