Using Ceramics & Fabric for Hand-Crafted Gifts – Craft Recipe

It’s so great to discover what readers of my books and customers are locker hooking. Color Crazy customer, Joan Booth, has been having fun creating these colorful and beautiful gifts. She happens to be very creative with various crafts. This is the first in a series of posts about using ceramic tiles to create locker hooked gifts.

I included a project for using ceramic tiles to locker hook a trivet in my Locking Loops book. As a matter of fact, the very first set of kits I created–the Hook, Loop & Lock Getting Started Kits— include small ceramic tiles for a small trivet. Using ceramic tiles for locker hooked mats makes it so easy to complete and create a unique gift.

It’s fast and easy to do with a few simple materials. I highly recommend a strong, waterproof adhesive like Quick Grip to secure the tile in place. • Locking medium in sturdy yarn to match, black yarn, or twine
