Sometimes I like to locker hook a new project just because I’m in love with the fabric, and/or I get a creative idea stuck in my head. Of course it is February, with Valentine’s Day just around the corner…so, I caught a creative bug and locker hooked a heart basket. I think I’ll fill it with homemade cookies.

For this easy to locker hook project, I created a ruched frame heart with a little yarn for padding and used 5-Mesh Canvas. I chose to use the pre-cut Poppana strips to give it some texture and contrast with the Color Crazy Crimson Petals fabric strips–a very deep red. And it couldn’t be just red, so I paired it with the Deep Indigo color strips. It’s actually quite “red, white & blue” because of the woven Poppana strips.
